Turbo Expectation????????
Turbo Expectation????????
ok im doing a .060 lt1 with CP forged dished pistons, forged scat 6.0 rods, cola 4340 crank, trickflow twisted wedge heads, and around a 590 lift cam....... what kinda power would i be making do you thin with a sts t-67 upgraded turbo with a intercooler around 12lbs of boost.
and yes.........the block has been sonic checked
and yes.........the block has been sonic checked
and you have no idea what you are doing because you just throwing out a cam size as if it matters what lift... lift is not even the important part when you start talking about turbos.
Then to top it off your going with TF heads. Not saying they are bad, they are fine. But are a waste of money. Just have your stockers ported by AI or LE.
You area also going 60 over, stupid idea. Go the least amount you can. If you dont, your jsut wasting a block and your time.
I think you need to start researching. Since your asking for someone to tell you something NO ONE CAN ANSWER, you just look like more of a nooob

wow thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 actually im not a noob and ive done alot of research on this. I know there are not alot of people out there that go .060 but theyre are a few that do and have made great power.
My heads are not junk i can guarantee you that, straight fully race ported from callaway i wouldnt consider junk. my cam is a comp cam
230/236 584/585 115. with 4 degrees of advance.
i know going to bored is risky and if i have to ill keep the boost down till i get a better block, but i got the pistons for almost nothing and they are VERY nice pistons. I have 2 stick lt1 blocks and i relative that does machine work.

Mine is .060 over and I've run over 20 psi boost, however I would never have done this if I wasn't forced to. My 4-bolt steel main cap converted block screwed up the .030 bore in a piston mishap, so I was forced to go .060. I have since purchased a .030 and another .000 block as spares.

More like 700 rwhp through an auto - probably a little over 900 hp at the flywheel. Please note that I'm NOT advocating the use of a .060 over block. I'm making the best with what I got, and won't be at all surprised if it cracks a cylinder tomorrow.
hmmm, ya i dont condone going to .060 over either but i have awesome pistons and they are just that. And the block was free. SO im gonna give it a whirl and if it falls through then im going to have to start over.
Uh.. i must have helped because you gave informative that is actully usefull.... then you further proved my point that no one will ever be able to tell you what the motor will make...
You have a cam, that posibly no one else has.. you have heads, that are also ported and a good chance no one else has head identical to those...
but if you want to know.... there are guys making 600hp at the wheels with a m6 on ls1s with the sts 67mm kit. There.. that what you wanted? lol
any number thrown out is going to be a complete guess...
And i would buy another set of pistons.. use those later... no point in wasting the block....

uf you have the block and since they are cheap you might as well use the pistons. it is a gamble but you can always but everyone elses blocks after they are afraid to go over.030. not the best idea but run what you have. i got lucky and ran 13.2 to 1 compression and 125 shot of nos on 360 ci sbc on pump gas and did so for 5 years with only 2 bad pistons in that time. but the pistons were free and the blocks were even cheaper... try it
oh im def going to try it.... With the dish of them pistons my compression will be way under 10.5:1 without the forced induction. So with it i should be pretty good.
And lt1-t/a i know these are just guesses, thats why i asked for peoples OPINIONS....... there are actually quite a few people that have a blower cam such as mine and or very close to it. The heads, ya not many people have them. Didnt expect them to. But thats why im asking to see what you guys have to say. No ones right or wrong

I may have missed it in the thread, but do you have a stroker crank? If so, that turbo will be small for a big cubic inch LT1.

T67 is small...
