Turbo Coupler

Where do you want to put a turbo coupler when making a homemade kit? I see people put them in different locations. Also from my understanding all the turbo coupler does is act like a shock absorber in a way? Is that right?

Do you mean flex section? Not sure what you mean by turbo coupler.

Yea, that is what I meant, the flex coupler. I plan on starting my own single turbo build this winter and also plan on going with a T88.

There is alot of different opinions on this subject. Many people have run couples, and many have not... with no ill affects. If you run a coupler, it has to be somehwere before the turbo (it will depend on how the turbo kit is designed and layed out). Since you are putting in a flex section, you will need to build a mount for the turbo, or else only one manifold (the one without the flex sction) will support all theweight of the turbo.
