tune/fuel delivery for p600b.

How should i tune my PCM/computer on my car so my p600b s/c will run properly. I am not going to go the route of a dyno tune.

Could i use a pcm mail order tune from madz28 or pcmforless, but not have them advance the timing so i dont detonate?

What are you all using with a similar s/c and setup?
BTW how are you getting fuel to the engine? FMU + injectors? ??
thanks

Dynoing tuning with a wideband O2 system and a seasoned tuner is the best, safest way to have you car tuned. If you don't have access to a seasoned tuner, then a mail order tune that you then verify on a dyno with a wideband O2 system works. Third on my list is a mail order tune with no verification.

I agree with OBE1's post...Putting a P600B on any motor without a "good" tune is flirting with disaster, let alone bolting one on a stock LT-1. A good tune will save the motor for a while and prolong the inevitable re-build with the necessary forged parts. Most will agree that the cost of a good dyno-tune using wide-band O2's is well worth it.

I originally got a mail order tune when I first installed my Procharger and I made sure it was on the conservative side. It was used more or less just to make the car driveable so that it could be driven to the dyno-tuner. I immediately went the way of larger injectors (42 lb.) and a Walbro 255 pump instead of using the FMU and the in-line booster pump as I felt it gave me better control...just personel preference though

Agree with both posts above me.

We hear what you're saying, but we just can't stress enough against that. Unless you just really don't care.

Todd - Who did you get to tune your car locally?

I had PCM4LESS ( Alvin did mine = Chip car) do my tune mail order. I will get the car on the dyno for final tuning.

From what we did scan so far the tune is real close! I'm running a 2-bar map w/42lb injectors. Car idles and drives perfectly!
