TTi manifold bolt holes don't line up any more.

Unhappy TTi manifold bolt holes don't line up any more.

I've got a TTi kit on my formula, and the setup is nearing completion, but getting all the demons out is the toughest part.

The latest we've run into is we blew the driver's header gasket. So, after taking off the manifold, the bolt holes don't line up to put it back on.

Has anyone run into something like this before? Anyone have any ideas?

The flange is probably warped. You should cut the flange in 2 spots (between the first and second primary and then between the 3rd and 4th primary. This will allow for you to crank them down flat again. Start off from the middle by putting he first 2 bolts in the center holes (middle two primaries). Only thread them in a few turns to support the weight of the manifold. Then put in 2 more bolts in the next closest holes. Only give them enough turns so there is good thread engagement. The manifold should be completely loose still and able to move in and out from he head quite a bit. Lastly, put the the outermost bolts in and start tightening down more hn the others. Drive them in about halfway and then work your way in driving the other most of the way in. After this, you can start tightening them down middle out.

Are you running this setup on the 355 in your sig? Is that t76 on center or tangential?

Thanks for the response! I'll have my guy give it a shot.

Yes, the setup is the one in my sig. I bought the whole setup off a board member about a year ago with a few things left to go, and I think we are finally getting close to finishing it off.

I honestly don't know much about the turbo other than it's a Turbonetics T76. I would guess that it's on center.

Actually, I m already about half way through that recomendation. Its being a bugger, and yes its a oncenter housing. Its very very tight in there. The sucky part is that I had to unbolt he crossover and the turbo. So now everything is loose. I already split the manifold, I just gavnt gotten to fightening with it again.

BTW, the gasket was MIA on #1 and #7 for about half the port.

Yeah, nothing is easy... part of the problem with the tight enginebay of a 4th gen.

i've gotten used to it.. i dont even think it is all that tight anymore.. I work on big rigs all day too.

I think FWD cars blow....
