TTI LT1 single turbo kit..anyone with info inside please

Ok..I dont want something crazy..im looking for about 550 rwhp. I was looking at the TTI single turbo kit for the LT1. Its going on a forged 355 with LE2 heads/turbo cam. I dont want something insane..but I want mid/low 11's. And I dont want to build an ALL OUT race car. Would the TTI kit get me there or is it too small of a kit? It has the 60-1 turbo. Also..does anyone know the stock boost it runs on? and whats the max PSI the turbo can handle with the 355. Also..will I hit my goals?Like i said this is a 100% street car and will see the track every once in a while. I want it to beat my supra. Its a 94 with a t-67 on 18psi..and its pretty fast..I brought it to the track yesterday..and it sucks..the MPH was awsome but the E.T wasnt. Its too hard to drive(i was on street tires which doesnt help) Anyone? Plus the kit is only 5k.

Honestly, the TTI kit for the LT-1 sucks. Really no way around that. TTI is a great company and makes a very nice LS-1 kit but the one you mentioned might get you 100hp over stock. And I speak from experience seeing that they have worked on my car in the past and i have friends who are using their products ( i use to live in Seattle). Get the PTK hot parts kit or just go with a blower. I can see no worse way to blow 5K.

supercharger is out of the question. I want a turbo LT1..I just wish the PTK kit wasnt so much damn money. I guess I can go with the hot parts and fab up everything else. But like I said..I want no more than 550rwhp

Ok I understand, I use to have a supercharger. You are in a way left with only a couple options. Buy the worst LT-1 kit or the BEST kit out there. Really you could go the route of a precision T-70 or maybe a 67 depending on future plans. I would go with the PTK hot parts and fab the rest. I didnt have the time so I just bought the entire air to water kit. It is VERY nice and you will like it. Only down side is you might have to wait a while

The funny thing is that you are probably one of the only people I have run into lately that insist upon having LESS HP!HA. It is refreshing though, in the world of "its easy to have a 1,000hp small block, my supra will beat that". Nine times out of ten its a **** poor kid that has a car thats worth less than one of my cylinder heads cost. Achieving your goal will be relatively easy, as long as you have the $$$ and time/ ability.

Re: TTI LT1 single turbo kit..anyone with info inside please

well..the supra is making a lil over 500hp on 18psi..and its almost more than enough..When i read about people wanting 800rwhp on a street car..its useless..I want something I can drive..the only reason I want less power is becuz I know 550-600rw will be more than enough..maybe even a lil too much..but for the highway it will be fine. The supra pulls on just about everything at only 18psi..on a 67. I guess im just gonna go with a 67 on the TA. The only reason I want a turbo on my TA is cuz the supra(like everyone knows) sucks at the track..the MPH is ridiculous but the E.T blows my ***. (this is on street tires)I want something with power before it comes into boost and something a lil more predictable. Ill go with a 67. *****Is that the smallest I can go with the PTK kit? Also..I know I can get everything alot cheaper than what PTK sells it for..and ill make the intercooler piping and get the intercooler for around 500$ instead of 1100.

Speaking from personal experience, don't go with the TTI kit. Way to much backpressure.

ok the stock setup numbers/times sold me on that kit. If he ran 11.03 on a stock engine at 10psi....lol...and made that much power..i cant wait. I just dont want to go overboard like everyone else does..and halfway through get pissed and quit. I want something I can drive ALL the time...and im not looking to break bank over it. I figure a 355 with my LE2 heads/blower cam, pte 68 and 8-12 psi...it will last a fairly long time and I wont need to spend 3k on fuel parts and 3k on engine management and need this and that and this and that. If i make 600rwhp ill be happy and if I run anywhere in the mid to low 11's ill be happy too.

Any recent numbers or track times from the PTK(S) kit from anyone else? I have seen that forum post since it was posted but that was two years ago.

Also, how much do you sell the cold side parts for unassembled?

Thanks,

Jerry

I think the biggest problem with the TTi kit is that ridiculous 2.5" downpipe.

Well it sounds like you have come closer to a decision. Give jose a call and he will help you out with whatever you need.

jrutland- Im just guessing but I bet nobody has posted anything because there just are not a ton of these kits out there and for the ones that are they are probably owned by people that might not care to let others know what they have.
