Oh yeah...don't want any tears I am just messing w/ the guy because of the 1000+rwhp claims...all in fun no need to tear up.

I'm sure he'll figure it out and put down some Vin Diesel approved et's.

Yeah Im confused 1000rwhp is equivalent to about 150mph trap. Which if the tranny didnt break I would be there...hell if the tranny didnt break I would have a mid 9 second pass to go with it

1000 rwhp is equivalent to ~153 mph with a 6 speed and ~163 mph with an auto asuming a 3750 lb race weight.

3) 1000rwhp should go 153?? Where are these numbers from?

A 3800lb car with 1000rwhp going 163mph That would require 1300rwhp

Hey buddy put the pipe down and think about what your saying

That 143 pass I let off thinking I was only going 1/8mile because of tech then said the hell with it

Re: TT Goes down the Track

I really depends on how the car is set up. Marko D's supra went 8.45 at about 163 with 1200rwhp in a heavy *** street car (3600lb race weight from what i've heard)... and that car (he sold it not long ago) also had a TH400 with a very high stall TC. On the other hand, there's a few f-bodies (BigRick, Matt harlan, etc) that have run low 8s/ 8 flats at about 170 with a touch over 1000rwhp. I wish rick would've run the 398 LT1 on the tune he pulled 1240rwhp with I was betting 7.70s at deep in the 180s

You are so far off in dream land there's probably no talking any sense into you...

You guys are WAY too caught up in all these internet wonders who have never done anything...I know I know nothing, and that's why I can talk to people that do and actually learn something. But you guys that just read on the internet all day about people who race in series with more racers than spectators and rules that match real classes that go 1-2 seconds faster just boggle my mind.

Well look at his 60' for 1, and your buddy that trapped 163mph with only 750rwhp must have been alot lighter than his car.

I believe it, and I can only hope mine will be like that some day. Take me for a ride?

Couple hundred pounds...not enough to warrant the difference that's for sure.

Re: TT Goes down the Track

Where did I get my numbers?

My car pulled 133 mph with 550 rwhp and 3750 lb. Use the formula and you get 690 fwhp. With my recent 680 rwhp, have no doubt that I'll pull right at 141 mph.

Several 6-speed cars have made right at 700 rwhp and pulled the same 132-133 mph at 3750 lb.

Jose's customer with the 6-speed T-76 GTS 355 LT1 made 990 rwhp and pulled 153 mph at 3700 lb.

INTMD8 with a 6-speed and 855 rwhp pulled 149 mph at 3750 lb.

Re: TT Goes down the Track

So just how fast should a 1000 rwhp car go in the quarter if 163 mph is slow? 180 mph??? 200?

At least 170 in a 3300-3400 lb car.

I think these vehicle weights are bull**** too. Just another excuse. My stock camaro with just slicks/skinnies came in at 3350 with me in it. I was 150 lbs at the time. So they have gained 500 lbs and most don't even have cages or anything else. Dead bodies in the trunk? Maybe they killed their engine builders when they realized they had dynoqueens and now they run at the track w/ them to get even?
