Track times for my car
Track times for my car
I went to Edgewater Raceway in Cincinnati yesterday to do some initial runs on my car. The motor was running flawlessly on 10 psi(4.5" blower pulley). Not even a hiccup all day. The 275/40 17" Nitto drag radials and my M6 tranny/Street twin proved to be difficult if not impossible to launch on my full weight car. Most of my runs I was spinning all through first gear and part of second. Here's the best of the day.
60': 1.96
330: 5.33
1/8: 8.03
mph: 92.09
1000: 10.34
1/4: 12.24
mph: 119.49

Not bad at all for the first time out! Are all your suspension mods listed in your sig? I have full bmr suspension (minus the TA sittin in my room waiting for installation lol) and mine hooks up damn good on the street with bfg dr's. Our cars sound very familiar but im about 12 psi and no meth.
Thanks. I think if I get some 10x28 slicks on some 15x10" prostars it will solve most of my traction issues. I had the boost turned down so I could get traction. I'm interested to see what it will do with the boost at 15psi and hooking off the line.
I still have stock LCA's and Panhard bar. I may replace them if the slicks don't fix the issue. I'm pleased with the consistency and power of the 355 blower motor. Also my Sixspeeds Inc tranny and Pro 5.0 shifter didn't miss a shift all day on 7 runs.
Ya I was chasing people down from behind all day. I'm happy that my motor is running so consistantly strong on 7 passes. Its a satisfying feeling about half way down the track, the motor is producing, and you know you are going to run your opponent down.
I tried dumping at 3500, 2000 and 1500. 2000 and feathering the clutch worked the best and got me into boost really quick. I also tried 26 psi, 22psi and 18 psi on the DR's. 26 psi is what I got my best run at. I loosened the front qa1's to 1 and then found that 3 worked the best. I'm sure all this will change when I get some better tires. I have 3.50 gears and I'm just below 6200 rpm in fourth gear crossing the finish line.
It was hot and humid... My last run of the day was at 9pm and it was my best MPH at 123. I entered the sportsman 3 class and lost my second race because I under dialed by .04 seconds
. That was because it cooled down and my MPH went up. As the track cooled my 60's got worse.

. Once I get the traction down then I'll bring in the boost. Right now its too squirrely for more boost. I will try again in a few weeks.Hi Jason, I still spend at least 15 minutes a day looking for parts in the "for sale" section. I'm just glad I saw your almost new stage 4+ micronited M6 before I sent mine away for 2 weeks to Sixspeeds Inc.
