took out the LT1 Boost Turbo T/A for Maiden voyage

Took the TA out for the maiden voyage (quick run up and down the street).

Having trouble with the electric gauges though... A/f doesn't light up, boost gauge doesnt shown any boost, just registers 30" of vacuum, and the fuel pressure gauge reads 30psi... when it is 43.5 @ idle. i need to figure that out before i take it back out.

As far as how it runs... it runs good. 383ci, stock heads, baby cam, T76 with stock Lt1 manifolds flipped forward. Its running 7 psi according to the wastegate spring. Feels very strong for such low boost and stock 220cfm LT1 heads.

1st gear @ 1/2 throttle spins the street tires, 2nd gear from a roll spins the tires as soon as I hit 2500rpm, and 3rd gear from a roll spins the tires once i hit 3500rpm... and spins them all the way to 90mph. Car rips good. time to mount the dr's.

I can't wait to see ya dyno this and get some track times, on 7psi I went 11.22 at 122 without the cam or cubes you have on your log kit. I don't think the stock heads or manifolds is going to be a problem either! Once I see your numbers it'll give me a great idea on how I want to build my next setup.

I need to figure out why my electric gauges aren't working correctly. Then I will hit the dyno. I was hoping to go next saturday and turn the boost up.

MORE BOOST!

Good to see it moving. I would guess that 383 spools a 76 about like my 357 spools the 70. Drag radials help a lot, but the car felt faster when I was on stock 245s - even though I know its faster now that it holds on to the pavement a bit.

Not 100% sure on the power @ 7psi (450-500rwhp), but I bet the tq numbers are significant.

Scott - Yeah I was surprised when it was doing it. Definitely need the 315's setup.

Jay - hurry up and get it done... you will love it.

Not spinning THROUGH 3rd
Spinning in 3rd.

I love that feeling. Even my 275 MTs will still sometimes let go from a mild peddle mash at 60mph.

Yeah, it spins from a roll in 3rd and I have to feather the gas to get it to go up to 90mph. Pretty fun! I hope my nitto 315's will help.

Realquick,

Do you have any pics? Did you keep the AC? Just curious what a guy that sells turbo's chose for his personal car.

I built my budget kit (lowest HP kit I offer, then I can dyno it. Needless to say it isn't the kit I will end up with in the end.
