T74GTS 96 vette build up progress and pics.
well, won't type much, but worked this weekend on assembling the rest of the motor, I like to take my time and make sure everyhting is cleaned and put together properly. anyways, I have decided to run the mockup plumbing for a few weeks once she is ready before building the Stainless set incase anything needs to be changed. but had to bolt up the turbo stuff and have been sitting in the garage grinnin like a school boy making swooooosh sounds imagining what she's gonna sound like when spooling.. Gotta love boys with big toys..lol enjoy the pics!

Re: T74GTS 96 vette build up progress and pics.
hey guys thanks for the replies...
as for the thermostat housing, I will just cut and redirect the outlet towards the front of the engine by removing a pie shaped slice from it and re tigging it where it needs to be points.. I doubt the flow restriction of a turn in it will hinder it as much as the thermostat itself will so I don't foresee anyissues with going that route.
as for the distributor, yes its a LT4 motor, and I removed the opti in favor of the Accel DFI dual sync distributor with the cam and crank sensors built into it and machined the intake manifold to accept a distributor, not really too hard of a job. the accel DFI gen 7 is now going to be operating truly sequential with both inputs from the cam and crank sensors. you reuse the stock or uopgraded for stock coil and an MSD or other CDI box such as a 6A or 7 or what ever your flavor is and it wires up pretty nicely using the fast track performance harness us vette guys have to use for our digital dash functions to remain working! other then that, the fuel system is almost done, fabbed up the fuel rails last night and got the regulator lines run to it, now just need to drop the engine in and make a few more changes then some relocation of a few small things and fine tune the rest of the fitment of lines and things etc.. then should be ready to fire up and start dialing in the tune...

sprayed,
If I could weld steel to aluminum... phwew I would be a rich man..lol it is just the way the light is reflecting off the machined head surface.. it is held on with bolts and a gasket is between them!
Chris
Real quick, here is a link to some pictures of the hot side plumbing out of the car assembled.

Hmmm, that would put an end to header flange exhaust leaks...
Very nice n' clean turbo system! Care to share some info on the car and what kinda power levels you wanna be looking at?
