Supercharger vs twin turbos LT1

Im trying to decide between a supercharger and a twin turbo system. I have a 1997 camaro ss slp with 33k(no mods as of yet.) The twins cost more overall about 4k over the supercharger but the tts will produce around 750wrhp and about 795 wrtorque. Ive heard that you dont get alot out of turbos at low rpms tho. So I just want to know what you guys think. Yes I am new to this site and doing big engine mods. So any info will help me greatly. Thanks

For a look at what twin turbos can do, you should check out Jims car at Speedinc.com. Watch the (INTMD8)s videos.

you might want to hope over to the forced induction area and ask. i hope you are planning on building up the bottom end before you add that much boost.

Youre not going to get 750RWHP from bolting on a twin turbo system on a stock car. I would rather have a supercharger. Its easer to install, less heat in the engine bay and it sounds better.

There is alot more then people think to mod a car to that power level think internals inncluding all the small stuff and your drivetrain fuel etc suspension there is alot more to this but ill keep short and sweet its expensive take it from someone who knows.....my job monday so that problem will be going away soon

Yah i know its gonna be expensive and nothing on the car will be stock anymore. I plan on spending near 15k on the motor alone just make it handle the power. Plus all the other suspenion and drivetrain parts. Its not the money that matters tho. I want something very few people have and something I can roast anything in.

ok so ive done some thinking. Should I just build a stroker motor (396) or do the supercharger? I know building a motor is going to be alot more time and money but will it be worth it? Thanks

You are going to need to rebuild the motor no matter what if you plan to hit 750 rwhp. Lots of guys hit the mark with a blown/ turbo 383 stroker, but if youve got all this money, might as well go 396.

yeah but i dont want to go with the 396 if i got the money. i just want something that i can reach my goal of around 700rwhp. So if a 383 (plus all the other suspension, fuel, drivetrain, tuning, etc mods) with a turbo or supercharger will do that, then thats what i want to do. Im trying to get the best bang for the buck ya know.

A 355 can reach 700 RWHP with boost, but there is very little cost difference to build a 383.

if your going turbo, i wouldnt waste money building a stroker, espceially not a 396, with a dish piston, the pin height becomes an issue, very little material between the pin and the top of the piston.

and always remember, no matter how fast your car is, there is always one faster
