I am looking at my next mod, and am considering putting on a supercharger or turbo. Its a few months, maybe after the winter, down the road, but i want to start researching now.

Which one is better for the LT1?

I don't quite now if thats a fair question, i rebuilt the engine as something else, and now i'm looking for that next BIG boost...

If you have $6000, get the PTK turbo. Otherwise, get a Vortech or ATI supercharger.

 

Id say for simplicity go with the supercharger. The turbos will always make more power with the same amount of boost on identical motors but turbos require considerably more work. I am of course talking about kits other than the STS rear mount.. i guess it doesnt get any easier than that but Im not sold on the idea yet.

No, i can't afford 6 grand.

So, i suppose the SC would be cheaper, and thats the way to go cause i'm a cheap and easy install kinda guy.

What are some prices on those?
