supercharger intake
supercharger intake
Has anyone designed a system to use the ram air(through hood) set up to route the air into the supercharger on a LT1 car?
If so, do you have pics? Is it a home design or does someone make a kit?
If not, have any of you all put the intake in a different location rather the lower fender well.
This is a Vortech S/C.
Thanks,
John

I haven't done it like you state. I cut up the fins inside of the hood scoop to increase air flow to cool engine down.
Then I make a air duct from the air dam to the filter, look at pic.

This isn't that crucial since we have a supercharger to charge the air and many people would say don't bother. I did it since it was easy and may only help by diverting more cold air into the enclosed air filter. I actually have done this to most of my car.

Thanks, I wasn't really looking to get colder air or incr. flow, I was mainly looking itno doing it to remove the intake higher off the ground to lessen the cahnce of water getting sucked up if I was caught in a monsoon down here.
