supercharger install

i've recently bought a 1994 camaro z28 Lt1 engine and i'm gonna buy a supercharger.. now when i do.. can i just have someone install it for me and thats it or whats the deal for it to run safe and give me nice power. ?? what are important things i need ?

The two things to make it somewhat safe are safe timing and plenty of fuel. No matter how you do it, blowers are not a safe way to make power on a high compression motor. Unless you have the cash ready to rebuild the bottom end, I would suggest going with heads, cam, & tuning for more power.

I actually built a new motor prior to throwing the blower on my stock LT1. The only reason I put it on the old LT1 was to work out any bugs in the system before attempting it on a high dollar forged stroker.
