To be more specific, the C5 is a stock bottom end car, LS6 intake, full bolt ons, Methanol Injected, ect, and the LT1 is a 383, FMIC, D1SC. Both cars are over 500 RWHP.

Good runs..I thought the vette would atleist of gave up more of a fight..

 

To the Vette's credit, the Z has a few more ponies, and a bit more work done to it.

 

Nice video. What was the speed at the end of the runs? Also, what music group is that?

 

The runs were through 4th gear, so probably 125-130 ish. The song is "six" by "All that Remains".

 

Call 911 has over 100 RWHP more than my car. His low end is incredible to mine, and by the time I'm where we're pulling at about the same, he's already bus lengths ahead. He's set up to get off the line, I'm trying to figure mine out (that was my first day back in the car in 5 months and I still can't launch that thing to save my life).

My car made 500/521 as it's a TT on a stock LS1. Would you really expect me to stay nose to nose with ANY car running 615 RWHP with a larger motor and more down low grunt??? Just because it's a Vette doesn't meant it's got magical powers.

 

I was wondering when you were going to see the vid. Yeah, my car gets out of the hole amazingly. Up top, we seemed really close, which again is really impressive for having 100+RWHP on you. I wonder if it would be much different if you had a passenger in your car as well?

 

I did have another passenger: me and then all the parts and crap I was carrying in the back.

Oh, I'm not mad in the least. I knew my car wasn't going to have a chance. I just keep telling myself, I've got a Vette.

The shot about the passenger was GREAT. He gets a beer next time one of us is around for that one.

He drove the car from Don's shop to my house, then we ran them. His tune is on the conservative side as Sean wanted to keep the car from going boom. He is only running 8#'s of boost, whereas some people have ran 10#'s and went kaboom with the same setup and the stock bottom end.

 

Yeah, Don said it was his "rag on me" tune. I held him to it. The car seemed to like it.

I know it's kind of silly posting a thrashing as a first vid. Pretty much the majority of other cars out there had I ran them it would have ended differently. I wanted a challenge.
