Stupid Question

Talking Stupid Question

Is there such a thing as a twin supercharger setup just like a twin turbo setup or would that be toooooo much boost for an engine to take? Just askin cause I never hear about it

P.S. My bad for the stupid question slaps on the head will comence now.

Its been done. A while back, there was a 3rd gen in Camaros magazine with a pair of Vortechs on it...I think they were Vortechs. Have you guys seen that quad rotor whipple? That thing is nuts. Its been done, but there really is no point other than the concept. There are plenty of blowers out there large enough to supply enough air to make as much horsepower as you could want.

Wouldn't be much point, all the extra power you would make would be used up turning the blowers. Twin turbos work because the total loss to drive the turbos is like 3% for each turbo total ~ 6%. While it's like 33% loss to drive a supercharger.
