Has anyone purchased an STS remote mounted turbo for their lt1? If so how do you like it and was it worth the $3800?
Any dyno or track numbers would be great thanks.

 

Personally, I'd spend the extra green for a PTK kit. Wouldn't want to lose your turbo to a speedbump.

 

I'm loving mine, definately worth the money. And if there was a speed bump big enough to take the turbo out, its big enough to take the axle too, as the turbo sits behind the axle. Your gonna get a lot of flack about the STS, because its different and goes against all tradition, but it works, it works great, and it is priced great.

I havent been to the track or on a dyno with it yet though. I'm still trying to dial in my 383. But before, on my stock engine, it was absolutely awesome.

However, I would reccommend a search on the STS turbo systems..

I personally think the STS systems are great.. Its so easy to install, you get great performance out of it.. and. it sounds sweet.. why not... if you have the money. go for it.

I, being pretty broke, was thinking of a powerdyne 4.5psi system..

anyway, good luck filtering through the STS haters on the forum....maybe someone else will chime in here and give some good advice..

I thought that system was for non header cars. Seems like there wouldnt be enough room for the intake pipe on the driver side having headers. Plus a cat back would not be needed anymore as well.

 

go over to the FI section, you'll find more info on the sts then you'll probably want

 

If you have headers you use the LS1 forward pipe that comes a different rout.

 

Where is the FI section?
