STS Kit do you need a intercooler?

Re: STS Kit do you need a intercooler?
I would just say use a hobbs switch - that's what I'm doing, as I'm using it to trip a bank of relays at low boost. Having a progressive controller is very neat and I would have gotten one myself - but I got a killer deal on a non-progressive one. Dont forget to have the injection nozzle after the MAF! Just a side note some people forget about. Sure you'll put in too much at low boost not using a progressive, but atleast for my application with a turbo, low boost to high boost is not very long, unlike a supercharger... But I'd still say go the same way no matter which method you pick.
Also ice would probably be fine in the tank if you were running pure water, if you were using a alcy/water mix then you'll only dilute it by adding ice. With ice or dry ice you dont want to get chunks of ice into the pump though - it might damage it. I'd reccomend adding a filter for good measure anyway, ice or not.
Call me paranoid, but I'd say also run an intercooler. How much harm will lower inlet temps do?
. Also the two work together - if I have the intercooler pump fail, I still have alcy. If the alcy pump fails (or I run out), I still have the intercooler. I'm a little paranoid, but my iat's will be nice and cool on street or strip.

Re: STS Kit do you need a intercooler?
I was taking a look at a ATI car with the twin ICs last night... it was on a rack... and I think the ATI twins, with little pipe fabbing, would work good for a STS kit.
The same shop just installed a STS kit and on the first street run, untuned, the IATs are reaching 120+*. Which doesnt sound too bad but this was in low 60* weather. If I was to run a STS kit I would deffinately do either or meth or IC for sure. I wouldnt even try it w/o some cooling method.
