STS Kit

Long story short...
I have had my SS for 3 yrs. I had juice on it(TNT 100 shot) for about a yr and ran at the track a best of 11.53 @ 118.

I have had the STS Kit for a while waiting to be used. I was selected to be a tester back a few months ago. Well, kit just went on and I did some Edit tuning and got the timing and AFR set. Havent been to the track yet but the MFer dips! I knew it felt quicker than my nitrous but like I said I havent been able to prove it to myself yet.

I had run the GTech countless times with my TNT Kit 0-60 and my best was always low 4's... 4.3, 4.4

I did a gtech test today @ 5lb boost with no other mods and it turned 4.5 spinning like crazy. So I tried again and goosed it off the line so I didnt spin then nailed it to the floor. The boost kicked in right away and i slowed down to get the reading.

0-60 4.00

And I could feel it! I knew it felt faster than the TNT 100
And that was a conservative AFR that I tuned ~ 12.00(yes I have my own wideband)

I will be getting new injectors soon and turning up the boost and heading to the track(Moroso in S Florida). Will post results.

BTW I have a video of the gtech run...will post that on my web page soon...

Not another STS lover

Just kiddin, I think this kit is great and the price can't be beat. When you gonna have the video? What other mods do you have? If its feels faster than your nitrous, makes me think its putting out more than 20 horsepower per pound of boost-and thats darn good. Did you use the injection on this or without?

You might want to do your drag strip test with the same injectors and just lean it out a little.
OTHERWISE,
Some of the naysayers around here will tell you the "naws" would have done better................................

The tune will be right before going to the track...dont worry about that

The engine is stock as far as performance with built bottom end(pistons and rods only with roughly 9.3 CR). Yes, stock heads and cam...

No I did not run methanol through it. I think it just may be roughly 20HP/lb @ 5psi.

I will be boosting higher when i make it to the track. However, it might not be a bad idea to run a 5lb run with 5lb tune just to see where most people will be at...

Remember, less compression takes more boost to make the same power.

please post after boost increase times too, according to Rick@STS the fist couple of PSI really just overcome the restriction of the turbo, so boosting 7-8psi should really be worth something!
