Well first things first, finally someone posted IAT's, and holy cow 160 deg with only 12-13 psi of boost, ouch. Also I see a good bit of lag their especially for such a small turbo like the GT35.

I saw on another board where he said that his IATs were exactly the same 160* with or without the meth injection. I also remember a while back when I was doing some tuning with my IAT sensor unplugged it stayed at 160*. Hrmmm, could there be some sort of relation???

There is no way that the IATs stayed the same with or without the meth injection.

Well depends where he is spraying the meth. IAT will not record anything after the sensor.

If the sensor is pegged at 160, then honestly, what temp could the air inlet actually be? It's nice to see more and more coming out about the STS kit, and It'd be neat to see dyno graph with IAT's vs RPM as well without meth. I'm wondering about efficiency- and is it just me or is a GT35 a little small for a 5.3L? If that's the case then the IAT's might be even higher... Unless I've got something wrong.

Who wants to bake a cake in the intake manifold?

Decent numbers though, I bet that thing would be kinda fun to drive.

Jose- any updates on my ptk parts?

Heh, I was asuming that the dude wasnt dumb enough to brag about IAT #s with and w/o meth while spraying it after the sensor... But, you're right that could be the reason theyre the same.

*dammit, im returning this meth injection crap...its not lowering my air temps one bit...* hehehe

Besides, does the IAT sensor actually peg out at 160*? My air temps have never gotten that high to find out

His dyno started at 4,000rpm and it didn't look like there was much lag to me. He had a 3k yank in the car.. with a turbo or not he probally woudln't be able to start the pull any sooner.

Anyone used to high stalls and being on the dyno will let you know that, with my 2800 stall I couldn't start a pull less than 3900 or so or it would downshift.

Also, it said 160 Before the methonol... not after.. who knows what the IAT's truely are.. he didn't share them.

I don't understand why they run the turbo so far back on the trucks. There's plenty of room to put it up front under the cab.

LOL

I actually used that once at another board. People got a good laugh out of it, even one powerdyne owner

I don't know where youre coming from. How much stock power do
you think a 5.3L truck motor makes? Its not an LS1 or An LT1.
It probably makes maybe between 230 to 250, so if he's making 430 I'd say thats not a bad gain @ 13 PSI.
This board is unbelievable, There's more bitchin going on here,
It's like a bloody witchunt. If the Guy is happy with his numbers
thats great, Cause if he can pick-up 150 to 200 HP with theres
diddly wrong with that.

Most stock 5.3's dyno in about 225-235rwhp, depending on dyno, car ect. So 200rwhp increase isn't that bad at all...not exactly the best kit out there, but the curve looks nice. Also...the graph looks like an UNLOCKED convertor to me...which could be costing a good amount of RWHP....since it is a 3000+ vert. I bet its fun to drive!

BTW...Im making a kit soon for the 99+ ls1 trucks...tuner style. Just the hot parts, you supply your own fuel management, intercooler, ect.
