stops pulling at 4000 rpm's

00 ls1 with a paxton 6lbs charger only mods are headers and gears also computer programming, not real sure if they did a good job... but heres my question at the track the car stops pulling around 4000 rpm's any idea's on what it could be... The car only ran a 12.9... If you need more info about the car just ask... Also im looking at putting a cam and 1.7 rr in very soon, what suggestion on the cam do you have...

Thanks in advance for any replies...

Do you have any type of data logger? Its brobably sensing knock, it could be real or just a bad Knock sensor, and this is pulling back timing. Tell him to get the car tuned or tune it yourself. Or it could be the stock (?) injectors are maxing out. You realy have to plug it in and see.

Hi I had a similar problem where the car seemed to lay up in the upper rpms … for me It was the MAF maxing out with only 6 pounds of boost. Once tuned the problem went away. I am not sure if that’s your problem without more info from a scanner etc but, you can also look in that direction to resolve your problem

If you don’t have a scanner and you want to test my theory… Just disconnect the blower belt. Of course you will be down a ton of power but the less airflow demand on the maf (if it’s maxing out) should allow your car to rev over 4 k without a problem.
Some questions?
1) Have you had the car re-tuned for you set up?
2) What size injectors are you running?
3) Give some more detail on your set-up

Thanks,
Jim
