Stock heads for turbo?

I'm building a turbo lt1, which I plan on running to 16 lbs of boost. I was wondering how many forced induction lt1's are using the stock heads. I called je and ross piston, and they both claim they can't make me pistons to get to 8.5 to 1 compression with the stock combustion chamber size. I can't justify the cost of afr heads and haven't heard much about trickflows. Anyway, I'd love to hear from you guys that use lt1 heads and how you had to modify them to work with FI, and what the results were. Thanks.

Re: Stock heads for turbo?

I am planning on having Advanced Inductions port my stock castings here in the near future. I am using some -35cc custom ROSS pistons that should put me damn close to 8.5-1. Trickflow castings are great, especially if you are going to have them worked on. I am using the stock heads because I have already spent too much money on my car and I have seen a full weight 4th gen go almost into the 9's with a Gen 1 PTK kit and fully ported stock castings. Good enough for me!
