I always thought the Lt1 heads were 58cc and the Lt4 heads were 54cc. I also did a search and someone else verified the same thing:

If this is wrong, please let us know.

Hope that helps.

I did a search and found a thread that stated that the LT1 heads were factory spec'd at 54 cc, but actually measured closer to 58 cc.

Pay close attention to RKrause and Kmook because they actually performed a volume test.

I just had my LT1 heads cc'd. They have been cut once and the chambers smoothed.....52.3 cc's....The factory spec is 54.4cc, but the tolerance is high on the casting. Just my .02

Yes stock castings are spec'd at 54cc. I measured my heads....guess what.....54cc. I highly doubt the margin of error on stock castings is 4cc. Thats a lot.
