I guess they figure if you want t trim power, you're not looking for quiet operation. FWIW, my V1 Strim is only noisy at idle. When you're moving it's a very slight whistle that goes away with a twist of the radio volume ***.

Ps. You take any pictures yet?

Pss. What happenned to the turbo?

I parted out my car.... bought a vette:

383/blower/nitrous waiting to go in the vette.. just no time right now.. got a living room full of goodies too :-( (mufflers, coatedheaders, xpipe, shifter, loweringkit, SQtrim, nitrous kit, new carpet)

etc etc. right now the interior is stripped getting the stereo out of the camaro, and new carpet. been like that for a week.. been too busy working/racing to spend any time on it.

I know the feeling. Pretty car, I like the blue, but not too fond of the black rims. LT4? LT1? I've been looking at C5s lately. Made a salesman bite his tongue and bend over backwards to give me service.

I'm going to get one when the C6 comes out.

its gonna be at least a month or 2, i am too busy with school/work/racing

I thought about a C5, but the 17k-19K price tag is out of my range.. even if I COULD pull it off, no way could i afford to build a 422ci turbo/blower etc LS1...

I see no point in owning a car that makes less than 600rwhp

Hey Jordon,
What are you going to do with the Camaro? I thought you were going to do twins once you got rid of the T88 set-up....

I think that for a C4 I prefer the camaro.. much more rigidity nad a lot less loose stuff and noise.. now the c5 is another puppy

Sorry Jordon.. I forgot to answer...

the SQ gears are not heavy duty and you cant use cogs on it.. and you cant rev them past certain RPMs. The SQ also doesn't bring the heavy duty case as they call it... You can upgrade the impeller and upgrade the ousing... but you will not be able to upgrade the gears... so you "can" have a SQT-trim but you wont have all the rpms and all the flow... it will still be a better match than the S-trim... but not worth the cost IMHO.

The funny thing is:

if you go to vortechs website
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...rformance.html
and look at that the SQ-E trim will spin 65krpm and flow 1200 but only support 750HP... not 825
So I am not really sure about why the lower HP rating? It should be better? if you rev it past 70k it means you should get gobs of boost lower.

T-trim is loud at idle, but its not too bad if you are turning anything more than that. I'd gladly put up with the noise from a T, its not that bad. And the flow/volume advantage over an S/SQ, particularly on a 383, is considerable.
YS, however, is nearly silent

Hey Jordan if you change your mind about running a t-trim I have a YS without any miles that I want to sell.
