SN 93 for $100
SN 93 for $100
Oops, I went back to this link threw e-mail and deleted it thinking it was still in the LT1 section so sorry for your post being deleted Diable GT
Well, I talked to a buddy of mine who has a mutual friend who used to have a hugger orange LS1 Z. Got rid of it and now has a SBC S-10. He got a blown up (thrown rod heads are fine) f-body LT1 and told me he would sell t to me for 200, I told him I would give him 100 for the heads and he said sold (can we say re-sale for 200). He also forgot about a Paxton SN93 blower for LT1's that he had laying around and he is so desperate for money that he told me he will see it to me for $100, yes $100!. My other buddy looked at it and said its polished, has brackets belt, everything you need and is serial number 9320026.
Just missing the key that holds the pulley on the blower as far as he knows. He turned it over and said it was smooth and not making any bad noises hmmmm, gonna check it out in the morning.
Update, went over and checked it out, looks more like a mustang kit to me has the blower, tube that goes from the blower to the TB (looks like mustang), belt, clamps, mounting bracket, and those rubber tube things.
Just called paxton and the gave me another number to call later, I figure I can call and give them the serial and see what it goes to. If it is LT1 I am going to need a manual.
There is one Paxton blower on ebay going for 255. If its a stang I could sell it for good money!
He told me if I give him the MSD 3 stage timing retard that I have (was gonna sell it for $60 that I could have his 93-95 LT1 AND the blower for $150. The LT1 has a thrown rod threw the oil pan (three holes), no intake or opti, could pull the heads port them throw them on my car and then sell mine for $200, throw the hardened push rods into my car if they are ok, sell the stock cam, timing chain, pistons and rockers, lifters, oil pump, cam cover for some change. If there is descent money in stock cranks I may have it checked out and sell it.....
What do you guys think on the blower situation...

Re: SN 93 for $100
"You pay for what you get" In other words, if you get it and the heads are warped, cracked, and the blower goes down the tubes in a few hundred miles don't get upset! I would be really weary of used parts that are that cheap IMO. Atleast buy them then resell them
Re: SN 93 for $100
what? $100 you cant beat even if its sh*t and needs a full rebuilt will still be cheaper than a new one...and even if it is for a rustang, just buy the lt1 bracket for it or make one
Re: SN 93 for $100
Well I went ahead and got it, heads looked fine. The guy wamted A LOT more but he was desperate. I figure even if I have to rebuild the blower and get the LT1 bracket its still worth the $150. My buddy said he say the blower on the LT1 so we will see.
