Single or Twin Turbo?
Re: Single or Twin Turbo?
you could run a 1000rwhp car at the track , and also make he car around 500 rwhp on the street with controllers and multi tunes on a XFI or BS3.
But this thread doesnt seem realistic, i have been in an engine build for over a year with the right combo to "support" 1300 rwhp with the FI to back it up and i am only planning on 600RWHP. 600-650 RWHP on the right car with get you single digits.
If your plan is for the car shows and bragging rights and dyno queen then more power too you, but if you have that kinda money build the biggest engine you can with the best parts you can , slap on two monster turbo's ... Then at least for me you would have my ohhh and ahhh.
The comment about Jay Leno........ come on, i know that was sarcastic but come one. Jay Leno....... how much money does he have , He built a pro-touring car, with deeeeeeeeep pockets. If money was no object this thread would not ever been started and Chris would already be in the midist of a build with Speed Inc ,Katech , W2W.ect , ect ,ect.
Chris i saw you started another thread asking about twins , asking questions and finding out as much as you can is great . You now know some of the pros and cons and some of the extra cost. It is in MY opinion to go with a single , more than likely a t76 (check out TTI). But if you go for Twins make sure you get the correct AR. and Wheel or although it will look pretty it aint gonna perform.
If you are gonna show , make damn sure it is gonna go.

He does certainly have the funding to do whatever he wants though. I've thought about trying to go to him with some of my ideas to see if he wanted to build them. Atleast then they'd have a better chance of getting built, even if I don't get to enjoy it
Re: Single or Twin Turbo?
I'd pick a different car for twins. Something with a large x huge engine bay so you can actually see the turbos. If you try to do them in a 4th gen you'll never see them. Check out some of the Incon kits. The only thing you see is the "butt" pipe on the radiator support. Yeah, the "butt" pipe looks good when it's polished and wearing its lace thong, but that's all you see. Even the single kits like the PTK people won't notice unless you actually say "look, it's turbo'd".
As for the 1k hp on the street... not a good idea. Sounds cool in theory, but when you actually look at the logistics of such a thing it really isn't a good idea.

Check out the traction problem this TT ZO6 has with only 620rwhp
