Single belt?

I also just finished a P600B '94 Vette engine with the standard ATI Balancer as it will only be 10# boost with the factory serpentine belt. Larger belts spaced forward amplify the stress on the hub.
That was a quote from Lonnie Pavtis in this thread http://64.65.63.61/forums/showpost.p...8&postcount=27

If I'm understanding this correctly then this setup uses one belt to run all of the accessories and the supercharger too.

I was wondering if anybody here is running one that way and what results have been. Also what changes it takes to do this.

The down side to this (I would think) is that I've seen the outer ring on the balancer slip on a couple of na cars. Just wonder what a supercharger would do to it.

Seems like with the tensioner problems and less strain on the bearings this might be worth looking into.

Re: Single belt?

He probably means the standard 6 or 8 rib belt that comes with the kit. I don't think there are any kits other than the twin screw types that use the factory belt system.
