Re: SD concepts

I was running one before I sold my car. Probably one of the best things you can do to improve on the poorly designed ATI bracket.

I have one, but the car isn't running yet.. It's physically on the car, looks like a great piece.. Just haven't had a chance to do full testing..

I noticed you have a D-1. Does the sd tensioner setup replace ati's tensioner bracket?

Do you have any pictures of it?

Thank You

Re: SD concepts

Yea, I have some pictures at home, I can e-mail them to you when I get there if you want.

Basically, you send SD concepts your bracket and tensioner and they replace the tensioner with (what appaers to be a ford truck tensioner) and add some supports to the current bracket.. It's a nice setup and is spring loaded unlike the current ATI setup.

They also take all your aluminum stand-offs and grind them down to the same size and include shims to make sure everything lines up when you are finished installing it.

Re: SD concepts

Looks like yours is working quite well Marc

I'm just trying to figure out if i need ATI's tensioner bracket. When i purchased my D-1 setup it came with the main supercharger bracket and spacers. But it did not have the tensioner or tensioner bracket.

Does the SD setup use the ATI tensioner bracket?

Ok, I'm confused here. My kit has the tensioner on the main bracket itself, and it's a spring loaded tensioner.

Can anyone send me pics of the SD bracket to ponyhntr@hotmail.com?? Thanks!

My understanding is that the D1SC bracket is different than the D1 bracket, maybe the confusion is there? I will e-mail pics of everything I have when I get home later..

Thanks Sean. I was just under the impression that the bracket was the same, but the mounting pattern was different for the blowers...

Re: SD concepts

Awesome! Thanks for the pics.

It looks like they modified your ATI tensioner bracket and main bracket?

Did the roller/idler come on the tensioner they put on? Or did they use the one off of your ATI tensioner?

Thanks

Re: SD concepts

Thanks for the pics, Sean. I get it now. The standard ATI bracket has the tensioner (it's spring loaded too) mounted to it. SD modifies the ATI bracket and makes a seperate bracket that their tensioner goes on.

Re: SD concepts

Ponyhntr,

My book for the procharger shows a picture of the main supercharger bracket and also shows a seperate bracket for the tensioner. This is for the D-1 setup.
