SC and nitrous, is it safe?

I am throwing some ideas around in my head. Currently I have 150HP N2O kit on my car, stock motor. I plan on going with a 355 w/ forged pistons, etc. and I have LT4 heads/intake ported and polished waiting to install as well as some other parts. A friend may be selling his brand new P1SC to me and I was wondering if it would be safe running a 50-75 shot on top of the SC at 4.5 lbs of boost. I will be buying an intercooler as well.

I'm not sure about "safe", however, I'm assuming you'll be spraying at the blower discharge side for extra cooling? I had thought about that as well, however, I am not sure I would go higher then like a 50 shot. Iv'e heard (I don't have any factual data sorry) that running a 50 shot with a blower almost doubles that shot to 100. Again, I have no proof though...

Good luck,
Tim

Look up Rich Krause (rskrause) on the message board. He is doing both.

As long as their is enough fuel available, I don't see why not. Your fuel system really has to be up to snuff for this though. A stock fuel system with an inline pump may not cut it. When you run nitrous, if its lean, you die.

yeah with tuning and enough fuel it is 'safer,' there is something about running 1 or 2 power adders or even racing in general that makes me hold out on using the word safe.

but you wouldnt need to run as big of a shot, bc it would cool down the intake temps so much on top of the extra 02 avialable, so it makes good power. you could also fog the outside of intercooler to cool it, but with n20 that gets expensive, so you could always spray c02 on it. neither will give you gains as much as just spraying it in

but if you are thinking about the blower and doing a rebuild, why not just run more #s of boost on it and not have to fill a bottle in the first place? that P1SC will do alot more than 4#s, and with more boost you will get the same power but ALL THE TIME
