It runs...and hooks

Quick teaser vid...

http://media.putfile.com/running-025

17" bling blings on a radial(no more bias ply), no suspension tuning yet, didn't do a burnout, 35 degrees out so COLD streets, didn't air the tires down, and 3lbs of boost. The camera car is my buddies 383 3rd gen on et streets and the other car is a bolt on ls1 on mt dr's.

You work really fast! How do you like the wastegate recirc compared to the dump?

Funny when I first took it out, I was like WOW it's quiet at WOT...then realized the WG is dumping back into the exhaust.

Awesome man, I should be running by the end of the week. My turbo probably wont be here for a while though. They said 5-10 days last week, but you know how that goes.

Justin,

Are the Mickey Thompsons you are running 275 40 17? If so is it the old tread design or the newer one? I'm having trouble finding that size with the new tread design. If you don't know the difference the new tread design looks more like a nitto but still has the R2 compound. Btw my new QA1's are really helping with weight transfer and I put 300 pd springs up front and V6 springs in the back. It doesn't handle too bad either. I put all four QA1s on setting 2 and it is really hooking well for street tires. The tru trac posi is without a doubt the best posi I've ever run. Now I just need to either get some MT's or Nittos.

get the MT's, nittos barely hook on N/A cars

How long will the MT's last though? I know they will hook.

if your gentle with them, 5k or so.

Nittos will never hook over 400RWHP (unless your magic and are call911, thats the only time ive seen them remotely hook on a FI car)

I run the 315-35-17 mt drag radial, new tread design.

So far they hook good on lower boost, and with it coming in soft they hook great up to 11lbs. With it coming in hard and 11-14lbs they blow them decently in 1st and part of 2nd, but I'm sure 14lbs on my setup is good for 138mph, lol.

Quick vid from Friday night of me racing my buddies 570 ALL WHEEL HP talon(ya he spins all 4 street tires, lol)...

http://media.putfile.com/racin-014

Sorry the quality isn't the best, the camera guy was a newbie to running the camera. This was a dig race, camera started just afte we took off. The camera car is a 383sbc 3rd gen. The wastegate wasn't holding a solid boost level at all, it was all over the place. That problem is fixed now, hopefully I can get the tune dialed in and it turned up for a few track passes next weekend on low boost.
