roots and nitrous

I currently have a 177 on top of a 468 with 8:1, smallest pullies (2.5) on top. without the boost gauge should be pushing about 5-7psi. Car runs 11.8's as it sits would like to see 10's. I was thinking about a 100 shot. StockBBC rods, vanolia pistons, stock crank. Currently running 32.5 total timing with no detonation on 100 octane, had it dyno tuned. a/f perfect.

running 1050 dominator.
????????
how much timing should I take out?
do you think that would be enough to hit 10.99?
any hints or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Re: roots and nitrous

177 is WAY undersized for a 468. Put a T91 on that bad boy and run 8's.

T91? I would venture a guess that that was a Turbo? Do you have some pics of a turbo BBC setup?

Start conservative. I'd pull out 8* on a 125 plate shot and check the plugs as you go. Nitrous acts sort of like an intercooler for a roots application which helps offset a little of the detonation tendencides (I have considered doing it myself on my roots-blown small block) but you're still building cylinder pressure like crazy with it and intruducing a much higher oxygen content, speeding up the burn rate. It's not going to want as much advance as you have right now, that's for sure.

Man up ***** and start with a 200 and work from there

pull out 10-12 degrees of timing put a colder plug in it and have some fun

Or really man up throw that blower in the dumpster up your compression to 15:1 and spray it with a 300 shot and run 8s

Your loving freind
