Reflashing Stall?
Reflashing Stall?
Im thinking about reflashing the stall while I have the car torn down. Here are some specs on the car and plans for it.
In the works.
355-383 CI
10+psi
224/236 114LSA
4l60e
T70 turbo.
I have a vigilante stall in the car and it is set to 3600 stall. On the streets with the stock lt1 and 6 psi it was stalling high and didnt have very good street manners. Im looking for something that will have good street manners and not cause a problem with the cam. Stall size reccomendations would be greatly appreciated!

Yea you're on your way to building a messed up combo. The engine is going to run out of steam just as the converter starts to engage. That 3600 is a 7 pump, right? The vigilante converters are advertised tighter than they really are and my experience with the 7 is that it'll go to 4000 on a mild LS1. On a turbo engine, it'll flash way over 5000. My 0 pump (2800) was flashing to 5400 on boost. Your little T70 isn't going to let that 355-383 make power over 5000 rpm.
Send the converter back and get them to replace it with a 10.5" turbo converter that stalls around 2500. My 10.5" vigilante "3000" stalls to 4500 on boost. Build the 355 to match the little turbo better, or up the turbo to a T76.

Just called them and they said they dont do that anymore? I have a 9.5 single diska and wanted to convert to a 10.5 multidisk. He said best bet to sell and start over. Who besides precision makes a nice turbo stall?
I run a coan converter and love it, drives great, and comes in quick and hard with boost. It's actually a "nitrous" 4000 stall, but this is with my th400.
PYE3600 from yank might work good for ya.

Im gonna get the stall taken down as low as I can on this vigilante and try it. The want 385-450 to upgrade to a multi disk and re flash.
