I'm not sure if this should be here or over in the exhaust section. I live in a county that does not require emissions, but I would like to keep it as legal-looking as possible. I am currently using a "gutted" cat, but I was wondering what the "legal" SC guys are running. I have had an exhuast shop tell me that there are no cats capable of handling anything over 500hp. I am always looking ahead and plan to continue modifying. Is there a cat that will handle this kind of abuse? I've been cited in the past for not running cats on my BB truck and I prefer to avoid court. I've done an OBD-I conversion, which I don't need to worry about visually, but I am keeping my original ECM just in case.
