Question about different metals
My headers I am using for turbo setup are stainless.. Can I weld mild steel v bands on them and them have the whole header jet hot coated? Will I have any trouble welding the two different metals or coating them?

Yes, you can weld stainless with mild steel, you just need a different rod for this.
FYI, I have mild steel shorties with stainless V-band flanges, and stainless turbo hotside with mild steel T4 flange.
