Question about ABS block...

okay, looking around, it looks like a lot of people have just done away with ABS?

How do I go about doing that, or can I relocate it somewhere or what?

I extended the lines and moved the ABS module where the filter of CAI kit would go.

my only problem with that, is that I will be puting my piping through there. I guess I could keep it high enough that I still have room for my IC pipes.....ive just been looking at pictures, and not many people have ABS anymore

I run my IC piping right underneath. I guess retaining ABS is a personal choice. I personally feel more comfortable knowing I have it.

Mine is gone, more for a clean look than anything. It cost me a whopping $14 to delete it with new lines/fittings, somewhere around I have all the little baggies with the part numbers. I DID NOT use a proportion valve, people say you can't do this, but I did it along with a few others and have ZERO braking issues, I've came down from 140+ mph fairly quick just fine.

I deleted mine too. No proportioning valve. Costed about 3 hours and $20.

If you have ABS only then it's just a double flare plumbing job with a union and tee from the autoparts store. If you want to put a proportioning valve in the rear line then that's your union in that line.

However, if you also have Traction Control then you also need the throttle cable and cruse control cable from a non-TCS car.

well, i do not have TC, only cruise.

So, the lines coming from the reseviour, where do I splice those to?
Sorry, I have NEVER done anything like deleting ABS before.

The line coming from the larger resevoir is for the front brakes (this is the rear resevoir). Install a tee in this line running the two "outlets" of the tee to the front brake calipers (you can reuse most of the old lines) You must use a double flaring tool when flaring the lines. The other line coming from the front resevoir gets tied into the line that is going to the rear brakes (already has a tee at the rearend).

Here is a link to the write up I did. It has pics and a parts list. Some of the guys said they had a hard time flaring the lines but I didn't find it difficult. Don't pay any attention to the Safety ****'s who invaded my thread. "Your going to die if you don't put in a proportioning valve." There are some pretty hard headed internet mechanics.LOL.
