Q's About ATI P600B

yeah, this guy here in town is selling a ATI P600B with a 6 10 and 18 # pullies. I know ill just use the 6 but do you think it will work on an ls1? and if so, is it worth 1,500 dollars including an innercooler? thanks for your help in advance.

Find out what the original kit was for, and how long the blower has been used. Sometimes it can be a great deal, if most parts are there and it is in good condition. If you know the guy and he can be trusted I say its not bad. You do have to understand though it is going to be alot of work to fab up new brackets and test fit new hoses, etc.... to make the system work if its not for your application. If you have the time and skill, go with it, if not just by a proper kit for your car so you have less fabication to do.

I am pretty sure that ATI does not offer an 18# pulley for a P600B.

ATI doesnt sell or recomend spinnign the p600 that high. They do sell a 15# pulley for the kit but do not recomend it. Id say the highest pulley I would put on there is a 12# as people have had good luck with it.

You paid 1500 for this kit and it is not complete. Do you know by any chance how many miles were on the blower? Before agreeing to buy it I would had sent it out to make sure the compressor is in good shape. Good luck on the install.

where would i send it to have someone check it? The only thing its missing is a fuel pump and i am going in with a few buddies of mine to get LS1 edit to solve the tuning problem. There is a lot of tubing with it, but i would like to either order new or have some custom made. i would just like it to look nicer. as far as the brackets are concerned, i can most likely have my friend make one, if i knew what it looked like. does anyone have any pics of install i could look at to find out what i need? thanks

You can always send the blower back to ATI to have them inspect it. I think it cost 75.00 but I could be wrong. I am not sure for an LS1 but for an LT1 the kit comes with a blower, intercooler and piping, blower bracket with tensioner, oil lines, bypass valve and inline fuel pump.

6lbs is a good starting point but remember you motor can go at anytime. It is very unpredictable. I would recommend buying an LS1 Scanmaster and an MSD 6BTM to help monitor your car.
