Proven F1A heads/intake combo.

What is a proven heads/intake combo for a street, low compression, 383 with a F1A procharger that'll probably only see up to 7000 rpm?

Right now I've got Dart 230 heads and a Vic Jr single plain but I need something that will be better for low end number vs high rpm.

I have access to some bare AFR 220 LT4 heads for a good price if that's an option.

I'm trying to get this motor put together this year after sitting on it for the past 3 years with stuff always coming up and not having the time or money to invest into my car.

Lets hear what some of you FI guys are running and how you like it.

Check the Boosted List stuck to the top of Forced Induction. It shows many different combos, quarter mile times, and RWHP dyno numbers.

Already looked through them, a lot of people are doing LE or home ported heads. I'd rather have CNC ported heads because of a bad experience with hand ported heads. I've been looking at Brodix, Darts, Trickflows, AI's and AFR's.

I have BGauthier's old block/rotating assemble. Specs can be found here. http://www.blown383lt1.com/
So I'd like something that'll bolt up with the -24cc pistons and have a good compression ratio for a big blower.

He used AFR 180cc heads and a ported LTx intake and on about 14psi he made 617hp and 573ft/lbs with a Vortech T-trim with a compression ratio of about 9.0:1. Is that about where you want you comp. ratio to be with a blower motor?

I'm looking for a good street combo that you don't have to spin too the moon to make decent numbers. I was going to do a single/dual plain setup, but if a LTx manifold will suffice, I'll go that route. Just so I have one less thing to worry about.

So I guess what are you guys running and how do you like to torque curve?

im running LT4 heads and intake on my F1a they are just cleaned up but mostly stock and we detuned my car to 546rwhp... i was having clutch and heat issues from still having the twin intercoolers... thats all changing and i have total confidence my F1A will push well over 700RWHP

Put down 732rwhp w/ LT1 heads here & 18 psi, this on an F1 spinning to 6200 rpm's. May get a little more out of it once tuned w/ meth but more than likely we'll back it down to extend the life of the engine.

A lot of the LS guys on the vette forum go with higher compression ratios and make great power especialy if you are intercooled and use meth. I see a lot of 9.5-9.7s over there while the norm is 9-1 here.
I am going with 9.6-1 with meth an an intercooler.
