In the middle of putting the procharger on my 93 z...its the d1sc twin highflow intercooled kit... i am at the step where you modify the oil cooling lines. The lt1 intsructions are kinda vague, but i shouldnt have any problems. Any tips?

 

I wish I could help with that part, but my car didn't have an oil cooler when I did my install. I would just take your time, and make sure you do it right the first time, cause our cars are a b!tch to work on-expecially with a blower on it!

 

I have a 95' and I believe the cooler adapter is different but I just removed mine in favor of the bigger truck oil filter and capped of the coolant lines.

no oil cooler on my install either, we tried a oil filter relocation kit and tried to tap into that, but ended up having to drill the oil pan for the return line anyways

 

Yes...fortunatley for me i bought the self contained unit, so punching the pan for the return line will not be a concern. I will have to cut one of the metal oil cooler lines 2 inches before the balancer, rotate the metal fitting on the water pump to the 10 oclock position, then firgure out a way to route the damn thing. Tonights project will be re routing the air pump. Shouldn't be too hard, but I know I am supposed to "T" the air hoses together and splice longer wires for the harness so I can get is to the stock air box location. Should be fun. Will post pics soon...Anyone else have any tips or surprises to look out for?

 

Yeah, clearance the waterpump around the holes where those spacers go and make sure the bolt holes in the heads and block are free of debris. Also, ditching the emissions junk sure does make the install alot easier.
