Procharger D-1SC numbers

The car made 554rwhp 518rwtq before with the same setup. The setup is stock bottom end, heads, TB, manifold, FLP headers, Hooker catback and FM7 cam seeing around 11psi.

The only changes we made were removing the inlet hat and the filter. The car made 630rwhp 609rwtq on a MUSTANG DYNO seeing around 13psi

Here is the dyno sheet
http://www.msnusers.com/CarsRelatedG...to&PhotoID=112

As you can see there is some belt slippage in the midrange. The car made 500rwtq at 3500RPM and 609rwtq at 4700RPM. It made 630rwhp at 6000RPM where the run was stopped because the fuel system is maxed out.

We are going to fix the fuel system and go for 6800RPM instead of 6000RPM. We also need to tighten the belts a little bit. All in all im pretty happy with the results giving its a Mustang Dyno. :gruffy:

Here is a dyno to compare the two runs against eash other. Look at the area under the curve.

Conclusion: Stock Air filter and hat from Procharger kit sucks. Need a real fuel system.

Bob at EPP and he usually have the best prices for them. I had to get the SDCE tension setup to be able to run over 12psi.

Re: Procharger D-1SC numbers

T-byrne actually gave me about $25 dollars cheaper opposed to EPP for my
D1SC. I still have to get the SDCE tensioner also.

No i didnt drive the car yet, but the on the Dyno we thought it was in 3rd gear because it finished the run soo fat lol. I had traction problems before especially when the weather is cold. In the summer the 550rwhp started to hook up at 3rd gear. That 550rwhp was on a Dynojet which would be around 520rwhp or so a mustang dyno. Im sure i will have problems until 4th gear or so now.

Im running Strange 12 bolt with 373 gears. Im running 315's T/A KDW tires now which hooks better than the 315 nittos drag tires i had before without heat.

Over 630rwhp on a mustang dyno with 10psi only... 630rwhp on a mustang dyno is around 670rwhp on a dynojet.

If u look at the sig my car made 548rwhp on a dyno jet with 8psi. It made 554rwhp on a mustang dyno with 11psi. So as you can see the Mustang dyno puts big time low numbers.

Re: Procharger D-1SC numbers

I believe the inlet size on your D1 is 3.75". If so you might want to look into a powerdyne cobra r head. Its only 3.5" but should be better than the ATI. One of the guys on this board tried the new ATI inlet design and it cost him 50+ hp so I think thats crap too. I'm in the process of getting the powerdyne on my car right now so we'll seee how it works out. Heres a pic of the ATI:

We are going to try to bolt a HKS filter over the inlet of the SC it self. We will see how much power it will pick up over the hat. If its close to what im running now great... if not we might have to move the A/C condensor and radiator so we can fit a 4" pipe there and a big K&N filter.

Re: Procharger D-1SC numbers

Lose some gear, Right? Also did catch the 8psi - 11psi dyno diff. 3psi of boost & picking up about 6hp. On the same dyno would have been 580ishRWHP..............................Joe
