Sorry to hear that! Definately the worst supercharger for our cars on the market IMO.

You'll probably get more response in the forced induction forum...

He'll be safe for a little while with stock internals. Its only 4.5 lbs of boost.

Check with Tom Bryne (Sponser on this site) since he will at least price match and delivers great service. Also check with Lonnie Pavtis:

I've done some research on the powerdyne, and its not bad, it just gets a bad rap cause your limited to how much boost you can make. The internal belt only takes so much before it breaks, so you can't really upgrade to 15 psi in the future, I believe the max I've seen is 9 which is a mustang pully, if I'm not mistaken. From what I've read it seems people have rides that last a long time with these chargers maybe cause of low boost. You can make just as much power as others with the same amount of boost. It hs the benifit of being inexpensive, having boost start sooner and no oil lines to the engine. People stay away from this charger cause you can make just as much power with bolt-ons and a cam, which is safer, but you intend to do both. do a search cause theres lots of stuff on it.

sidways, don't forget to call up HYpertech, because they offer a custom program for SC setups. I have one from them and since you already have a HPP, the custom pogram should only run about $150 if they still offer the product. The program comes in a cartrage that is kind of like a gameboy cartrage and goes into the programmer from the bottom. In anycase alot of people do not know this is offered. Other people may also say that it is junk, but for me the proof is that I have this program and my setup last many many years and over 95,000 boosted miles. I can not find anyother person that has had as long life out of a stock setup than I have. Just my 2 cents and good luck!

Well I bought mine form E-bay brand new in a box with shipping it came to $2000,and that was the 4.5 psi kit then i upped the kit to 6.5 psi which is the extra fuel pump and belt and pulley combo.for like 350 or so...Now I made 315 rwhp with an all stock motor with bad valve springs they were weak so i had valve float bad... Now i have the 6.5 psi kit P&P head, headers, off road pipe and 37lb injectors and custom tunning im at the 400 rwhp mark with the STOCK CAM TOO So i really love my powerdyne so good luck with yours...
