Post your Water/Alky Injection pics/installs

I already have a 2 core IC but it does not do a great job cooling down my intake temps. I wanted to add Water/Alky to the mix but I wanted to see how much clutter this adds under the hood. If the clutter is too much then I will probably just consider upgrading to a 3 core IC but that would be a little more expensive.

Also, are there any drawbacks from using the Water/Alky Injection?

And what do you guys like most about your Water/Alky Injection kits?

Any help would be appreciated guys,
Thanks,
Claude

Trust me, we'll be getting into some things very shortly. So far ther are two of us that are rebuildng out bottom end for boost. he other guy(named andy) bought a compleat forged bottom end from diamond when Thuderracing had there last cam/valvetrain gp. And then we also have a cam and spribgs to instal on pauls car. So just save your hands b/c you will be busy this month and next.

I'd post a picture of it but you wouldn't be able to see much.

I wanted to keep everything hidden. It uses the stock windshield washer resivor and probally last a week or two with normal to hard driving. The pump is mounted near the cruize control box and the nozzel is before the throttlebody on the under side of the intake.

I picked up 3mph with water injection with less knock (like from 1 degree to .5 degree) and 7 or so more degrees of timing.

Alvin whats up!!! We need to talk, I just bought a powerdyne for my car you need to get me some info on that alky setup you have! I don't think I have your number anymore or I'd give you a call. I also want details on your setup, sounds like you've got it dialed in!

This kit is THE way to go. I've had excellent experience with this "progressive" alky kit on GN's, my TTA, etc... I always picked up the ability to run an additional 10 psi of boost at least, as well as more timing. Alky is one of the BEST mods you can make. Take it from a long time Turbo Buick tuner and racer. It will work as well on the Turbo V8's.

Check out that site, he is the only one making progressive kits in such an excellent package and price. Nothing but praise!

BobRocket is absolutely correct... Anybody that is interested in an alcohol system should go with one of Julio's kits (www.alkycontrol.com). Believe me they are the best controllers you can buy realiability and functionality. However, even better is that for a 4'th gen f-body, garunteed no other kit will match the one Julio offers. 100% stealth and bulletproof, I know because I use it and we have actually brainstormed some of the ideas together. I am running this same alky kit with a non-progressive controller and bottom line, it works very well.

Claude - IMO there are no drawbacks, only positives. For example, it sounds cool to say your car eats alcohol. Second, you have lower IAT's and if you are already intercooled (which you are) it will mean very nice air temps. Third, you have higher octane which IMO is one of only 2 for sure ways to reduce knock/increase boost, the other being a reduced compression ratio. Lastly, you can run more boost and more aggressive timing meaning more POWER!!!! With alky you extend the capabilities of pump gas and are able to run higher boost levels on the street.
