1 - Dual pump harness, relays, inline fuses, electrical connectors for the fuel pumps
1 - Hobbs switch
Various conectors to alternator and ground.

From the looks of it I can't see how its going to cost $600?

Does anyone here have Lonnie's setup and can comment? His set up requires you to send in the stock bucket so it makes me wonder if he keeps one pump in the bucket and one outside.

I did the math and this would come in under 300 bucks.
Not sure how the primary and secondary switch would work but it seems like a good idea.

From what I read if you try to wedge 2 pumps in the stock bucket... both of those pumps are gonna suck any fuel you have in the bucket completely dry anyways.

I just drove mine today with 1/8 of a tank around a curvy Kentucky Road and put in 14.5 gallons without any sputtering. I think the bucket is hocus pocus.

I already had one walbro and the Relay so that is why my $140 estimate is so low.

MacGyver would be so proud of you! Nice work by the way, how does it all work now, are you satisfied with the final results?

MacGyver would be impressed if you only used duct tape and a swiss army knife to construct the dual pump set up.... oh and if you have a candy bar you'd stop a nuclear reactor from melting down too!

I sent my A/F ratio guage to autometer. When I get it back I'll do my first WOT run. I've driven the car on each pump to verify operation and so far so good.

I will admit it took alot of soldering and shopping but I'm a perfectionist and usually something that takes most people an hour will take me 2 days. Oh well its my hobby.

I know you've already done more than your share of helping us all out but is there anywhere that I can get a wiring schematic on how this should be wired up.

Re: Picture of my dual walbro setup

I just paintbrushed this for you guys. If you want a maunual turn on for the second pump, you just need to use a switch to ground between the hobbs and relay.

Re: Picture of my dual walbro setup

I added above how you can do a manual turn on. I need a wiring schematic for the stock wiring to do the switch between pumps so I can see how the relay is controlled (ground side or + side switched?). Someone sends me one I would be more than happy to do it

Re: Picture of my dual walbro setup

I like the schematic, but the relay. Is that existing or one purchased for the sole purpose of the dual setup? I SUCK with electrical stuff.......

They relay is your typical run of the mill automotive relay. From the looks of it I think the fuse in that setup should be at least 20amps.

Now were talking.
I'm not running boost in my application right now so the hobbs switch isn't going to do me any good but what I could do is set the switch up to work off of my nitrous activation switch so that the pump is turned on when the master arming switch is turned on.

Then it would just be a matter of getting the pump switch over system.

Re: Picture of my dual walbro setup

My relay is wired different than what atljar posted. The ignition on source goes to the hobbs switch and the relay is turned on by the positive wire coming from the hobbs switch. Then the relay is grounded to the frame.

Can you draw that atljar?
