Pics of my trigger wheel and pickup

For those that were curious how I am driving my megasquirt. This is it. Notice the cap, rotor, optical sensor are all gone. Only the base is there to plug the hole in the timing cover.

36 tooth wheel with a magnetic pickup and for coil packs.

Cool, thanks for the pics. How did you get it centered on the balancer before mounting it? Did you drill and tap the balancer for the hardware?
Thanks.

Function over form always with me. Its not high on my list to clean up, but if anyone ever wanted to make a living out of this. Gasless mig is impossible (see bracket) - good mig with gas is much better - tig is the way to go. My whole kit was finished before I had access to a tig.

I usually use whatever I have laying around. I think thats part of the abs bracket bolted to the block. And the rest of it is just flat straps of steel welded into 90 channels to make it a bit more rigid. Ideal would be more of a stock design with the wheel in the timing cover and the pickup tapped into a solid piece of metal.

I used a few c clamps and a caliper to get it centered. Its by no means perfect, but within a few 1000s. I don't have the tools to drill the holes perfectly anyways.

This balancer has 6 holes tapped in it. I just used them with some longer screws. It is also keyed and the only sfi I found for an ok price.
