People who are running or ran the hot cam with a supercharger - INSIDE

I know theres a ton of threads about using the hot cam with a supercharger. I know it's not optimial cam. I just wanted to know what some people threw down ---dyno numbers,et 1/4 times, etc, etc. A perfromance shop told me they had allot of people throw down some good numbers with the hot cam. I just wanted to know what some people threw down on there set-ups with the hot cam -supercharger. I wanted to go with the p600b procharger system.

I don't have a hot cam, but I have a CC305 on a 112 lsa, so that's fairly close. I'm also using 1.6 rockers on intake and 1.5 on the exhaust. I didn't originally build the engine for forced induction--I just wanted lots of low end and good power from 2000 to 6000. You can see in my sig what my dyno numbers are. Keep in mind that I've got a 4L80E tranny which takes a few extra hp to turn. My boost guage is showing 7lbs at 6000rpm. I'm not using an intercooler, but do have water/alcohol injection. I'm getting ready to change out the exhaust rockers to 1.6's to see what that does. Hope this helps you.

A good friend of mine has a P1SC and a hot cam. blownbird01 is his user name on the board. The car has a 355 with forged pistons, stock top end and he ran an 11.4 @ 120 mph...spinning. Just my 2 cents. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you emailed him some questions.

ill make my long story short. kinda

threw in the hot cam kit with 1.6s. then found a good deal on my Vortech kit (6psi) so i ran that combo cause i wasnt about to put the stocker back in it after the time and money doing the hot cam and i definately wasnt gonna go for an expensive blower cam that i didnt know would pass california emissions. (not that the hot cam is carb legal but it runs clean so we'll keep that secret to ourselves.)

i dyno'd it so i could get the AF ratio for madz28 to do the mail tune for me. my dyno numbers were crappy in my opinion because the dyno tech couldnt get it to save the data. i didnt want to blow the motor so i let off at 5000rpm. he was finally able to save the data on the 6th run.

Pre-tuned it was 380rwhp & 395rwtq @ 5000rpm running rich @ 10.2AF most of the run. sorry i couldnt give you more accurate numbers from at least 5800rpm.

I run an S-trim in my car with a hotcam. I also run a 100 shot along with it to make up for the 5k ft density altitude here, and the 4600 lbs my Impala weighs with my 375lb *** in it, LOL. numbers below in sig.
