I like my p600b..

my friend has the same setup as me...

355ci Lt1 ...same bottom end...but he has CNC heads, mine are hand ported..
he has a .510/.510 lift cam..and I run the hot cam..he runs 10psi from his S-trim..I was running 6psi last time we ran.....and I yoinked him hard..I have a vid of it somewhere..

Re: pb600 vs s-trim

I saw a test about 8 years ago comparing a 6 psi S-trim to a 9 psi intercooled P-600B. The 9 psi blower took more hp to drive it and it heated the air more. By the time you factor in the losses through the intercooler and the added parasitic drag, the S-trim made more power.

Re: pb600 vs s-trim

LJ and a S trim? I was pretty sure its a YS or YSi trim..... FWIW I think the P600 is a bigger head unit CFM wise. I have one of each, the P600 tensioner set up sucks, the Vortech has a nice tensioner but seems to make less power.
Just my .02 worth.

Re: pb600 vs s-trim

I have owned a P600b and would highly recommend a Vortech S-trim over it.
