Paxton Supercharger Questions
A guy I know has a Paxton supercharger for a TPI car for sale. I am going to buy it but any information on the pros & cons would be helpfull. I have LPE heads, cam and superram that dynoed 304RWHP. I know I would have to change to a surp belt system. I also know about the water pump. I have a 255 Holley fuel pump. I have 24lb SVO injectors and a supercoil. It has Ed Wright tuning which would have to be redone. Anything else I should do?

Id definantly go bigger injectors, figure out what your comp ratio is with the heads and cam now so you can estimate on how much boost you want to run and the biggest thing I would do is get it dynotuned if possible and forget about paying the 500 or whatever it is for a ed wright tune. Andy I forgot to list the compression. It is 10.1. I just want to run between 6 to 8 psi. The problem I am running into is no one around here does tuning on the TPI cars. Well there is one guy but no one trust him. I am just trying to get into the mid 11.5 or so. I think with the mods I have I should be able to make it. I am running 12.9 now at 110 MPH. Thanks for the reply.
The bad part is I am disabled now and can't afford alot. I would love to have a D1SC. But when you can't work you have to do more with less. I don't drive the car but about 300 to 500 miles a year. A few trips to the track is all it will see. The bad part is every time I had the money for the D1SC something broke or had to be repaired on the house.
I have a NOS kit and was going to spray a 25 shot in the motor because there is no intercooler. Do any of you guys do that? Is it safe to do? The engine has forged internals.

I had a sn93 on my lt1.. its not a big supercharger. but you can always upgrade to a vr4. I went with the vortech for more power but honestly... I liked it and didnt at the same time.. on a 350 it will push 9psi but on a 383 it pushed only 4.5 on the dyno ... 5 on the street and 6psi on 5th gear....
