paxton supercharger
Re: paxton supercharger
they produce boost.
I have a paxton and it's decent. I paid $850 for the entire setup, including superfueller and MSD 6BTM. I wouldn't spend any more than that on a paxton setup because of it's inferior design. I'm pretty sure I can get that much back out of this one when I'm ready to go big though.
I did notice that you have long tubes. The paxton will not work around long tubes without some custom fab work. This is the custom #1 slip fit primary that's on my car to work around the intake tubing. It's been jet-hot coated to match the headers: http://www.lt1.org/other/jpg/slip-fit.jpg
Another pic of the custom setup with maf after blower. Since this picture was taken, I added on a bung and blow-off valve before the MAF: http://www.lt1.org/other/jpg/boooost.jpg
Now that I know I can slap together tubing and it works, I'm pretty sure I'm going to build a turbo setup when the stock bottom end gives out.

Let me know when you're ready to get rid of it then
. How much did your setup put out, any track times?

Re: paxton supercharger
I really don't know. I tuned it on the street and never took it to the track. Datamaster dyno says 410 rwhp, but who knows how accurate that is. I'm sure having long tubes and free flowing exhaust helped it make more horses than paxton advertised.
it runs dead even with a friend's cammed LS1 putting 407rwhp down. Both are 6 speeds, so there's no real drivetrain difference.
It did manage to make enough power to tear a spec stage 2 into 2 pieces and destroy a 10 bolt. I put a moser 9" in the car over the winter, so it's safe to take to the track now.
