BY-pass valve?

I just got a 9# pulley for my SC since I lost some boost with my mods. Powerdyne says that you need a by-pass valve for anything over a 6# boost. On my current set up the MAF is right after the filter. If I install the BPV after the MAF won't this cause some problems? Should I look at relocating the MAF? I need some advice soon since I want to install this tomorrow before I go to the track tomorrow night. Thanks for your help.

Re: BY-pass valve?

The bypass will need to recirculate back into the intake tube after the maf.

Re: BY-pass valve?

I had a HKS BOV after the MAF. When I went to 15 psi (Procharger), low speed fuel was rich (AFR of 10 or less) due to air dump to atmosphere. Thanks to Camaroz28 site, I purchased two bypass valves from evolution motor sports ($130 each). Now running bypass back to the intake and no low speed rich fuel problems. Also cured the surge problem. (383 D1 w/ Spearco - Lt1)

Re: BY-pass valve?

Just an observation... are you using an intercooler with that Powerdyne? Those things get pretty damn hot and you need to cool off the intake charge.
