Partial block fill?

Does anyone have thier block partialy filled? If so where there any cooling problems? Did you need a bigger radiator or anything? Finally what conditions are you driving in? I am debating on weather to do this or not, and I would like some perspective from those who have.

Re: Partial block fill?

I'm actually getting mine filled as we speak. The fill goes into the bottom of the block at the bottom of the cylenders. Since all the heat is generated at the top by the head it shouldn't effect cooling that much. Perhaps from just having a half gallon or so less coolant it may effect the system, but not likely. Atleast this is what my mechanic told me.

I'm sure someone that has actually run there car with the fill will chime in.

Re: Partial block fill?

I think it would be a good idea for me to do it. I just didn't want drivablility problems (over heating). For the most part it wouldn't be nessicary, but for the day's I go full boost I don't want the block to shift arround or distort. Some times I think I just should of went with an after market block, I hate worrying about this stuff. Thanks for the replies, if anyone else out there has any experiance or knowlede please share.
