Angry This is odd....I cant figure this out....

I went to the car wash again today and gave the ol' camaro a bath....when I started it up it was running a little ruff.....thats odd.. I never spray under the hood or under the car..

so I get out on the open road and I roll on it slowly in 3rd from 50mph and when I give it more then half throttle it drops a cyl. and miss fires really bad...under light load its not bad but any more then that and it falls on its face...after about 3 miles it stops doing this and goes away...this is the second time I have had this happen after I wash the LT1

one more thing....the car always miss fires above 5000 rpms....and I have done every thing to fix it....plugs ,wires ,coil,opti,..yada yada

....I did read that I should go look at the wires for my MSD 6AL btm and check to see if the white wire is next to the orange and black wires.....I heard that it can cause some problems...

Did you check your air filter to make sure it didn't get wet?

I washed my car a few months ago just like I always do, but started it up and it ran like poop. I checked the filter and it was nearly soaked to the bone. Dunno how it happened.....I never spray underneath the car and nothing was out of the ordinary.

I haven't had a problem after washing since, but I always check it afterwards now to make sure the filter is still OK.

Mine does this sometimes as well. I think the high pressure water gets by the headlights or something of the sort and dampens the opti. I never spray underneath the car either.

well....... my MAF is right behind the right head light and so is the air filter.....and the only why I see the air filter being a problem is if the Maf was still mounted to it...but I have moved the MAF to the pressure side of the blower after the intercooler and the BOV...may be I will try swaping out the MAf....
