Not one of Prochargers better days.

Yep,

After 2 phone calls and 2 weeks of waiting for my F1A headunit to arrive, the box finally arrived today. Pulled out the headunit and they sent me the reverse rotation model. I have to send it back and then they will send a new one back to me.

On the bright side, I got a good look at the impellor and I must say it is a beautiful piece of machine work. The impellor reaches way out into the inlet to apparently solve the inlet airflow problem.

An F1A will fit a Procharger D-bracket? I have a F1 but I didn't think you could go larger on that and it fit an Fbody......of course w/ $ anything could be done.

Yes, The F1A will bolt right up to the P1SC/D1SC bracket. D1 bracket is different. The F1A has a different impellor than the F1 but the case is almost identical.

what did you have to do to get the Blower to fit on the front of the block? I have the D1sc and i would like to man up so i dont have to run the NAUSSSSS lol to make up for the lil ***** blower. I can only get 15 psi out of this blower and it is completly maxed out.

thanks
Steve

Well, I haven't installed it yet but held it in place on my bracket. It looks like I will have to grind about a 1/8" off the block right next to blower. It really looks like a 15 minute job. No big deal at all.

I should make 15 psi with a 7.65/4.5 pulley combo. The F1A has an 5.4 step up ratio which allows me to run bigger pulleys. Also the big pulleys should allow me to run an 8 rib SDCE setup without slip. I really don't want to go to a 12 rib.

I recently upgraded to a big block hub and ATI dampner. I also got the SDCE setup a couple of weeks ago. Knowing what I know now I would never buy a kit supercharger again. Almost everything I bought in the initial kit is gone. My P1SC performs so much better now that the belt isn't slipping, I have a real intercooler, and my crank pulley isn't wobbling all over the place.

Look at it this way; at least you are getting a high quality Supercharger. Even, if you have to wait for it, its still better than some of the others you probably could've got next day'd to you.

To get the F1 to fit as well I'm assuming an F1A you'll grind the corner of the block and either grind down the ABS bracket or delete it altogether. I grinded mine down but not I'm in the process of installing SJM's LL/ABS delete kit in a few wks.

Now I need to go and check out the difference between the F1 and F1A!
